Hayley grew up in Coffs Harbour, on the North Coast of New South Wales, where she enjoyed an active and healthy life, at the beach and playing sports including triathlon, endurance cycling, ocean swimming, surfing, kayaking, volleyball, tennis, netball, as well as dancing.
Hayley completed her first degree at the University of Canberra; a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Biology) in 2012; followed by a Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney in 2014. Since then, she has worked in private practices in Sydney and Coffs Harbour, using LJ Lee’s ConnectTherapyTM model of Physiotherapy (previously known as the Integrated Systems Model) and the Thoracic Ring ApproachTM – a whole-body approach to find the source of movement dysfunction and pain. Hayley has enjoyed helping a large women’s health client-base and worked with amateur and professional athletes involved in oztag, surfing and cycling, as well as the current Australian and world champion adaptive surfer.
Hayley has a passion for continued development and expanding her knowledge and skills to help others, and so far, her post-graduate qualifications include Dr LJ Lee’s ConnectTherapyTM Series, the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Pilates Series with Polestar Pilates, Integrated Dry Needling Level I, Certificate in Psychosomatics and Pilates for Women’s Health with Polestar Pilates.
Special interests include women’s health, pilates, chronic and complex pain, and functional movement re-training for both sport and general life. Hayley is passionate about maintaining an active lifestyle and enabling others to do the same; in her spare time, she enjoys surfing, yoga, pilates, and being outdoors in mother nature, either on foot or on her bike.
After having recently moved to the area, Hayley is very excited to have the opportunity to inspire and empower the people of the Surf Coast to connect with their bodies and live a healthy and active life.
